ghosting Glacier is an interdisciplinary short film project which began in the Autumn of 2019. The Oslo-based project is a collaboration between British musicans/producers Leon Muraglia and Romek Paluch-Edwards, Norwegian photographer Linnea Syversen and Norwegian choreographer Rebekka Sæter.
The project investigates the relationship between humans and nature in a time of climate change and the result is an audio-visual work composed, written and created at / in / by the glacier. The project uses artistic approaches to investigate how we continuously affect and are being affected by our interactions with a particular place.
By entangling and blending the boundaries between glacier and human, we would like to investigate and explore the continual influences by the presence of bodies and beings, in a coalition of human and more-than-human will.
The project also address the subconscious and emotional defence-mechanisms many experience in relating to and dealing with climate change. How do these mechanisms manifest themselves through our expressions, our ideas and in through our direct contact with a melting glacier?
ghositing Glacier has been supported by Norske Dansekunstnere, through a professional stipend for film, as well as donations from private donors through our own fundraiser at Spleis.
Welcome to our exhibition!
