‘Stereo way to Heaven’ is a one weekend pop-up exhibition at Schaeffers Gate 5 that will feature new mixed-media paintings and limited edition prints by American artist and musician Carl Smith. With his signature technique that combines screen printing, airbrush, and painting, Smith creates enigmatic and often humorous images that reference 60’s Pop Art as well as modern Urban Art, but always with a twist.

This Pop-Up exhibition embraces not only the Urban Art aesthetic but also the accompanying philosophy that everyone should be able to acquire original artworks at affordable prices. You can count on finding hand colored screen prints for as inexpensive as kr250, and small paintings for as little as kr1400!
This event will also feature a live concert of the original Casa Electro Novo. This is explosive one-man-show that gained Smith notoriety as a wild support act for Madrugada on their European Grit tour as well as lively appearances at several Norwegian festivals. With his suitcase full of vintage electronics and flamboyant stage presence Smith leaves conventional styles aside to create a uniquely genre defying show.
